I have used this CD with a difficult class who found it hard to settle especially after lunch. The CD allowed the children to calm down and forget problems encountered at playtimes ready for an afternoon of learning. The children really enjoyed the CD and were able to produce some great pictures of what they imagined.
The CD was also useful for giving children experiences and images they may not have experienced for themselves.

Yes relaxation is very sucessful in helping people to cope with and often lower high blood pressure there is a lot of research to support this- see the Pausepedia section.Try to find a short time to relax every day or even twice a day if you can, the more you practice the better you get and the more effective the body's response. Regular gentle exercise is also a great stress buster and helps to lower blood pressure.

Asthma causes the muscles around your airways to temporarily tighten up. The linings to the tubes can also swell up. The net effect is less space for the air to flow in and out. Hopefully you have some inhalers to use and these are important but learning to relax and breath well can really help.
you will probably feel best in a inclined sitting position as this lets the diaphragm relax down and keeps the abdominal contents away from the chest making it easier to breathe Loosen any restrictive clothes. Try to relax your shoulders - it may help to rest your forearms on a pillow. Concentrate on letting the breath flow out rather than forcing air in. The PPU welcome tracks talk you through this breathing and there are extra welcome tracks to download free on the website. its also a good plan to look at reducing stress by checking your work/life balance, taking some regular gentle exercise and eating as healthy as you can. Check out the site for more info and get back if you need more help.

Small children need lots of positive one-on-one interaction. It helps them develop important lifeskills involving feelings for example trust, security, coping with anger, bonding with others etc. Play Pause Unwind relaxation tracks are great for families to use together. Why not lean back against a bean bag together to listen? With very young children it doesn't matter if they don't understand every word, they will love the music and calming sound effects and you both benefit from unwinding and bonding together. If they get fidgety use the shorter tracks to start with - like 'the beach' or they may like to have some modelling clay or a soft toy to hold whilst they listen. Indulge in a short relax time together every day and it quickly becomes a must for you both. Can be a lifesaver to stop stressful situations escalating into confrontation! hope that helps.

For me it's got to be anywhere on the water. Gently sailing along, bobbing on the waves with the cool breeze and warm summer sun - I'll be out like a light. Best if someone else is steering!

Love the royalty free tracks.Just a thought A lot of my patients do t'ai chi or qi gong classes and enjoy buddhist chanting or oriental sounding music to relax to. Could you produce something like that?

Thanks,it was patients at the clinic asking for the visualisations to be put on tape that set me off on this project. I use it a lot with sports either for performance visualisation or as relaxing cool downs too
